The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) declared annual contracts for the senior women's team on May 19. T20 International (T20I) captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Poonam Yadav were among the 19 players retained by the BCCI. Mithali Raj, the Test and ODI captain, and Jhulan Goswami were among ten players to receive Grade B contracts. Shafali Verma, the teen sensation, was also upgraded from a Grade C contract to a Grade B contract.
For the period between October 2020 and September 2021, Grade A players will receive Rs 50 lakh each, while Grade B players will receive Rs 30 lakh each. For this time, each player in Grade C will receive Rs 10 lakh.
Grade B contracts have been issued to Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Deepti Sharma, Punam Raut, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Shafali Verma, Radha Yadav, Shikha Pandey, Taniya Bhatia, and Jemimah Rodrigues.
Grade C contracts have been awarded to Mansi Joshi, Arundhati Reddy, Pooja Vastrakar, Harleen Deol, Priya Punia, and Richa Ghosh.
For their next assignment, the team will fly to the United Kingdom. They will play England Women in a single Test, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and three Twenty20 Internationals.
