It was the year 1994, when a show about a group of six friends premiered, and became one of the most popular sitcoms on television. Now, as you read this story, the cast of FRIENDS is in Los Angeles, to shoot the reunion episode.
David Schwimmer, who played Ross, revealed the news about the plans on The Graham Norton Show last week. He said, “I'm going to Los Angeles — we're going to be shooting the Friends reunion next week. I'm going to see everyone next week for the first time in many years.”
While the actor didn’t give away all details of the upcoming episode, he did mention that the stars — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc besides Schwimmer—will be appearing as themselves and not in character. “There's nothing scripted, we're not in character. We are all ourselves, although there is one section of it that I don't want to give away, but we all read something."
The Friends reunion episode was to be shot last year in May, but owing to the pandemic, it was shifted to the latter half of the year. However, as conditions didn’t stabilise even then, the shoot was pushed even further.
