For the first time in about 15 years, FDCI and Lakmé Fashion Week joined hands for a first-ever season-fluid showcase that was part-digital and part-physical, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. The showcase took place over five days, with most showcased live, while a few saw attendees witnessing the experience from their cars lined up along the runway. We were hooked onto our screens to enjoy the now-digital experience, and here are seven shows we were completely in awe of.
Bloni
The first one on our list was Bloni’s gender-fluid showcase. With edgy yet chic silhouettes and a powerful presentation, the showcase was exceedingly impactful. The mix of tech-generated materials and the use of crafts like crochet and tie-dye struck the right sartorial cord.
