A significant population has received its first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. However, the fact remains, the pandemic is far from over. Look at the rising number of cases: Maharashtra reported 5,124 new cases on March 22 while Delhi reported over 800 cases.
In an attempt to encourage citizens to stay at home and take all the necessary precautions to keep the Coronavirus at bay, the Delhi Police have taken a creative approach, one that many people will find relatable. The office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Central Delhi shared a doodle on its Twitter handle on Friday that was inspired by viral sensation Dananeer Mobeen’s ‘Pawri ho rahi hai’ video. And if you’ve watched it, you’ll know exactly why this was the most creative way they could get public attention and make a point.
The doodle begins with the Coronavirus introducing itself and saying, “Yeh hum hain (this is us).” Next, we see three different mutations saying, “Yeh hamare mutations hain (these are our mutations).” And at last strip depicts people drawn, and the line reads, “Aur yeh hamari pawri ho rahi hai.”
The tweet has been liked by over 2k users, with netizens commending the creativity behind the engaging post. Rajiv Banerjee, the man behind the sketch, tweeted, “Thank you so much for sharing my cartoon! I hope it helps to spread the message. So glad that it is resonating with people.”
